The drones were launched by CENTCOM’s Task Force Scorpion Strike, which was specifically formed to develop and deploy one-way attack drones at scale.
Hotels and apartment buildings were hit by Iranian drones and missiles as attacks on the U.S. Navy’s headquarters extended into civilian districts.
Bases hosting U.S. troops throughout the Middle East have been participating in U.S. operations against Iran, and are subject to retaliatory strikes.
