A Texas mother who delivered her son by emergency C-section while in a coma has died 14 years later, never fully waking from the brain injury that struck her late in pregnancy. Heather Brown was 34 weeks pregnant when seizures from a brain aneurysm left her unconscious. Her husband, Sean, was serving in Afghanistan and raced home as doctors fought to save both mother and child. On September 15, 2012, she gave birth to their son, John, by emergency C-section. Heather never fully awoke. She died on September 18, just days after John’s 14th birthday, The Sun reported . A memorial service is set for October 10.
