On Thursday, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli and other California officials announced Operation 'Skid Row,' which resulted in multiple arrests. More than 20 people were arrested as part of what local and federal authorities described as a sweeping crackdown on drug trafficking in Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood. Authorities said some of the accused dealers traveled from Pasadena and other surrounding suburbs to sell drugs in the area.
