Gloria Steinem, the American journalist and political activist who became the face of second-wave feminism in the late 1960s and early 1970s, has died at age 92, according to her verified Instagram account. Steinem died Wednesday in New York City, “surrounded by some of the many who loved her,” the statement on social media said. “Gloria’s near-century on earth were years well-lived, and she continued working for equality until the very end,” the statement read. Following a report by journalist and MS NOW contributor Pablo Torre and subsequent investigation, the NBA is punishing the Los Angeles Clippers for violating salary cap rules for two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard. The league is suspending owner Steve Ballmer for one year, fining the team $30 million and forcing the team to forfeit five first-round draft picks. Torre tells Morning Joe the scheme is “deeper than even I realized” and therefore more undeniable as Ballmer continues to claim his own innocence.
