Mia Bieniemy, 57, was shot multiple times on the evening of July 26 at the family's home in Ashburn, Virginia, a suburb in Loudoun County outside Washington, D.C. She managed to call 911 herself. Dispatchers warned responding Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies that the son still had the weapon inside the home. Deputies took Elijah into custody outside the residence.
