Ukraine launched a new wave of drone attacks on Russia early Thursday, amounting to one of the largest attacks on the Russian capital since the Kremlin ordered the invasion of Ukraine more than four years ago.
The attack, which shut down the city’s airports for several hours, appeared to be the biggest wave of drone strikes on Russia’s capital since the start of the war.
The 163d Attack Wing's Hap Arnold Innovation Center is proactively developing and fielding counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) strategies to protect critical infrastructure and military assets.
Ukrainian drones struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg and set it ablaze, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, as the city hosted an annual economic forum promoted by President Putin.
One of Ukraine's largest drone strikes on Russia killed at least four people, including three near Moscow, and wounded a dozen others, local authorities said Sunday.
