Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) railed against House Republican leaders in a challenge on the chamber floor Thursday, saying that a vote on a war powers resolution was cancelled out of fear that it would pass. The resolution would limit President Trump's authority to wage war against Iran.  Asked about the cancellation, Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) asserted that Congress should be allowed to vote on the military action, stating that a decision on the war "belongs in the hands of the people."  Rep.
