Hezbollah on Thursday rejected the latest U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which will create “pilot zones” in which Beirut will work to drive out the militant group. Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Kassem, described the ceasefire as “absurd, humiliating, and insulting” while urging Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon entirely, according to The Associated Press. Former Trump national security adviser John Bolton plans to plead guilty in a case accusing him of improperly handling national defense information contained within his diaries, two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill. President Trump on Thursday afternoon will give remarks from the White House on the administration’s moves to bolster coal power, including a $700 million investment.
