President Trump on Thursday will sign an executive order that aims to coordinate a federal plan to combat drug addiction and substance abuse. The "White House Great American Recovery Initiative" will advise federal agencies to issue grants in support of addiction recovery and education, according to the fact sheet obtained by CBS News. The panel will advise the federal government on how to integrate programs to aid with drug abuse prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery and support. The order comes as the administration has ramped up its fight against drug trafficking, including deadly strikes on alleged narcotic-smuggling boats in the Caribbean. The announcement from the Oval Office is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. EST.
