The Washington Post has new reporting about the conditions at the now-closed Florida detention center known as ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’ According to the Department of Homeland Security’s internal watchdog report, immigrants at the facility were kept in ‘small metal enclosures’ for up to nearly 2 hours. Investigators said they learned of at least one instance where the cage may have been used to discipline a detainee.
