NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte gives remarks on threats to the military alliance, a day after he met with President Trump at the White House and as the Middle East conflict is under a shaky ceasefire. Trump, who alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio has floated pulling the U.S. out of NATO, blasted the trans-Atlantic alliance following the meeting as being unreliable and not there "when we need them." Rutte has largely backed the U.S.-Israeli operation in Iran, many allies have spurned the president's calls to contribute to the military effort and to help police the Strait of Hormuz.
