Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought will testify before a House Budget Committee panel on Wednesday morning on President Trump’s fiscal 2027 White House budget request. The request calls for $1.5 trillion in defense spending — roughly 42 percent higher than 2026 — and proposes cutting nondefense spending by $73 billion. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. EDT. Watch the live video above.
