Federal health officials have identified lettuce from Mexico served by Taco Bell locations across five U.S. states as a source of the widespread outbreak of diarrhea-causing parasite cyclospora.
“You cannot shoot first and ask questions later,” said an attorney representing the brother of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.
The man had no outstanding warrants per local police.
“May we all avoid explosive diarrhea, lettuce spray,” one social media user joked about the cyclosporiasis outbreak.
