Don't get me wrong on this. I love Buc-ee's. I really, really love Buc-ee's. I love their business model; I love their snacks; I love their barbecue brisket sandwiches. I love that there is something so quintessentially 'Merican about a gas station that has over 40 pumps and a convenience store that's bigger than some whole countries in Europe. I'd love to have a Buc-ee's here, although Alaska is a long, long way from any potential Buc-ee's sites; besides, we have Three Bears, which is an actual by-gosh alcohol, tobacco, and firearms store, which is pretty Alaskan.
You can generally count on a Democrat to say one thing, and to another. Alaska's former at-large representative Mary Peltola is no exception; granted, she faces very different expectations in Alaska than she does from the Washington Democrat apparatchiks. And, too much of the time, she let the Democrat establish brow-beat her.

The alleged hijacker of the Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv likely wanted to target Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, the country’s main international gateway, according to an Israeli official and an Israeli source familiar with the matter. Hamam al-Hammami, the suspect in the hijacking attempt and co-pilot on board the flight, was stopped by the actions of the captain and several passengers who restrained him and wrested control of the airplane. The official and the source said Israel is receiving updates from the Emiratis and that the investigation was still in its early stages.
