YOUTUBE (The Hill) - Watch live: Rubio makes case for Western democracy in Athens speech
Secretary of State Marco Rubio will deliver a major address from Greece on Wednesday, urging Western nations to return to their “civilizational roots” as the Trump administration seeks to reassure uneasy European allies. Speaking near the Acropolis, Rubio is expected to argue that the U.S. and Europe are at a “crossroads” and must embrace the democratic values he says helped propel the West to global prominence. The speech comes during a three-country tour of NATO allies, with stops in Iceland, Greece and Portugal, focused on economic and security ties. #rubio #athens #greece
