Blanche has already worked to appease Texas Sen. John Cornyn and North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis in the committee phase by providing a written statement saying the so-called Trump IRS Anti-Weaponization Fund had been closed.
The order will end a weeks-long standoff with senators who were threatening to block Blanche's confirmation for the permanent position as head of the Justice Department unless it was put in writing that the fund was dead.
Acting AG Todd Blanche says the media "should not be surprised" if they're subpoenaed for information related to their sources on national security-sensitive stories.
