Lionsgate is bringing Mel Gibson's *The Passion of the Christ* back to theaters for a limited run more than two decades after the biblical epic became the highest-grossing R-rated film of its era, and this time, audiences will get a first look at the long-awaited sequel. The re-release, remastered in 4K with Dolby Atmos sound, is set to run from September 10 through September 17. Screenings will include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from *The Resurrection of the Christ*, the two-part sequel Gibson has been developing for years.
