The New York Times reports Anthropic stopped possible efforts to build biological weapons. On Morning Joe, former acting FBI director Brian Driscoll calls efforts to weaponize AI “terrifying,” warning the technology is being used to “motivate and ideate on different creative ways to wreak havoc.”
Two former FBI agents, who were fired by President Trump last year, will testify before a Senate Judiciary Committee panel on their involvement in a probe of the 2020 presidential election. The hearing comes after two ex-agents, who were unnamed, sued the Trump administration after they said they were fired "solely" based on their work on investigations that involved the president, including "Arctic Frost." The suit is the latest to challenge widespread firings at the Justice Department, including one brought by former acting FBI director Brian Driscoll, who resisted firing agents who worked alongside special counsel Jack Smith on Trump’s cases.
