A man fleeing police in the Spanish port city of Cartagena climbed into a garbage container to hide, and was killed when a collection truck arrived minutes later and activated its compactor. The garbage lorry pulled up to the anchored bin around 1 a.m. Monday, emptied its contents onto the vehicle, and engaged the compaction system before crew members realized a person was inside.
