After five days and 30 hours of deliberations, the jury still has not reached a verdict in the Lindsay Clancy case. The idea that there's a connection between federal student loans and what colleges charge dates back almost four decades. But it's unclear that link can lead to lower costs.
Typical graduate student loans will now be capped at $20,500 annually and $100,000 in total, while loans for professional students will be capped at $50,000 annually and $200,00 in total, according to a federal register notice.
