Rep. Andy Biggs, who voted to overturn the 2020 election results, won the GOP nomination for governor, while state lawmaker Alexander Kolodin, a lawyer who was penalized for his role in a lawsuit alleging election fraud, won his primary for secretary of state.
The primaries set the field for what are expected to be heated contests for Congress and governor in a swing state this fall.
Electing such candidates for governor would give deniers key oversight of the 2028 presidential election in swing states like Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
