Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked a Singapore-flagged container ship, Ever Lovely, near the coast of Oman, which was attempting to flow through the new route in the Strait of Hormuz advocated by the United Nations maritime agency. The vessel was struck on the starboard side and its bridge suffered damage, but no one on board was injured, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center, which is affiliated with the British Royal Navy.
