Less than a month after Parton's death, the entity she built to protect her legacy has turned on the nephew she trusted to announce her passing, and the family is pushing back. She's Alive, LLC, the company Parton designed to manage her brand and business empire after her death, filed a lawsuit against Seaver on Sept. 22 in Davidson County Chancery Court in Nashville.
