Dolly Parton died on Aug. 25 after a brief battle with cancer at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Tennessee.

Bryan Seaver is the CEO of the Nashville-based security company Squadron Augmented Protection Services. He is a career soldier and military contractor who has overseen Parton's security operations for more than twenty years, a role he inherited from his late father, Larry Seaver.

Seaver issued a statement to TMZ claiming he and his teams were dismayed by the "unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions" taken by Nozell and Pinnacle Bank. He framed himself as a loyalist carrying out Dolly Parton's final directive to protect her family and disputed that his messages constituted threats, describing himself as a security professional and a career soldier/military contractor who conducts arms deals for foreign governments.

She's Alive, LLC filed a lawsuit against Seaver on Sept. 22 in Davidson County Chancery Court in Nashville and obtained a temporary restraining order on the same day. The company also fired Seaver and his Nashville-based security company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services.

Freida Parton is Dolly Parton's younger sister and the aunt of Bryan Seaver.

Danny Nozell, Dolly Parton's longtime manager, filed the lawsuit and restraining order against her nephew, Bryan Seaver, after leaked text messages revealed Seaver's threats to destroy Parton's brand unless he was paid.
