Orlando Bloom will pick up the Filming Italy International Award on September 6 at the Venice Film Festival, adding another honor to a career built on two of the biggest film franchises in Hollywood history. Tiziana Rocca, the marketing veteran who heads both Filming Italy, Los Angeles and the Taormina Film Festival, announced the award in a statement praising Bloom's range and global appeal. The ceremony will take place on the Lido during the 83rd Venice Film Festival, which runs September 2, 12, though the award itself is not officially connected to the festival.
