An independent autopsy of the body of Nolan Wells shows that the cause of death is undetermined pending an investigation, according to attorney Ben Crump.

Wells disappeared during a July 4 boat trip with friends to an island off the Mississippi coast.

"There's no evidence that I can see that race played a role, but there's no evidence that race did not play a role," Alexander said.
The video, which was recorded at 2:23 p.m., could be the last known image of the 18-year-old.
The parents of Nolan Wells, who was found dead on Horn Island in Mississippi, will hold a funeral for the 18-year-old on Monday. Wells was with friends for the Fourth of July and did not return home.
