A deadly malaria outbreak at Frankfurt Airport has killed three people after infected mosquitoes apparently hitched a ride on an inbound flight, raising urgent questions about disease screening at one of Europe's largest international hubs. Six male employees working in different jobs and areas of the airport contracted malaria between July 4 and July 6, German health officials reported. Two of those workers died. A third victim, a resident of Schwanheim, a community near the airport, also died after contracting the disease, bringing the total death toll to three. The four surviving workers have recovered.
