Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administrator, and federal law enforcement officials will give remarks Tuesday morning from Philadelphia on what they call a "significant" healthcare fraud takedown. The Trump administration earlier this year threatened to withhold Medicaid money from all 50 states if they do not show that they are complying with federal anti-fraud statutes. In June, the Justice Department brought charges against more than 450 defendants for alleged fraud totaling more than $6.5 billion in false claims. The anti-fraud initiative in Pennsylvania follows similar actions in Minnesota, New York and Florida. #droz #healthcare #medicaid
