Mukeshkumar Somabhai Chaudhari is accused of signing the voter signature certificate required by Minnesota law, which requires him to affirm he's a citizen, according to the indictment.

The Homeland Security Department announced in July a preliminary review of Nevada’s voter rolls identified nearly 16,000 voters in the state who could be foreigners.
The secretaries from Kentucky, Mississippi, and Nebraska filed a brief with SCOTUS in support of proof of citizenship in voter vetting.

Federal agents arrested a 30-year-old Honduran national in California on charges he falsely claimed U.S. citizenship to register to vote, a case the Justice Department says marks the start of a broader crackdown. Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, a lawful permanent resident living in the San Fernando Valley community of Winnetka, was taken into custody Friday morning and faced an initial appearance that afternoon in U.S. District Court in downtown Los Angeles. A federal criminal complaint charges him with two felonies: making a false claim to U.S. citizenship and fraudulent voter registration.
