Two pilots were killed in a collision between a jet and a fire truck on a runway at LaGuardia International Airport in New York. The aircraft was attempting to land when it struck the emergency vehicle, which was traveling across the runway to respond to an incident with a United Airlines flight, according to Kathryn Garcia, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The crash resulted in the death of the pilot and co-pilot, while 41 passengers were taken to the hospital. A majority of them were released by Monday morning after receiving treatment, Garcia said at a press conference.
