Tom Cruise showed up at the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles last week not to jump off a building, hang from a plane, or sprint through an explosion. He was there to sell something far riskier: a comedy about an aging oil magnate whose recklessness may have doomed the planet. The trailer for "Digger," directed by two-time Academy Award winner Alejandro González Iñárritu, dropped on July 13. But Cruise wasn't content to let the footage speak for itself. He hosted a special presentation for press, film critics, and fans, previewing extended footage and sitting for a Q&A moderated by film journalist Kevin McCarthy.
