A man with multiple pending criminal cases in New York walked into 30 Rockefeller Center on Wednesday morning, made his way past the lobby, and confronted Today show anchor Craig Melvin on a staircase near the broadcast studio, all before security could stop him. The suspect, identified as Andrew Truelove, was detained and arrested. No one was injured. But the breach raises hard questions about how a repeat offender moved freely through one of the most recognizable buildings in America. The NYPD confirmed it responded to a "disorderly person" call inside the building around 9 a.m. on July 16, 2026.
