A tourist in central China became stuck halfway down a waterfall rope, battered by rushing water for minutes before rescuers reached him, and the adventure company that sent him down now disputes how much it owes him. The tourist, identified only by his surname Tang, was the first in his group to attempt a rappelling descent at Yangjiaotan, a waterfall area in central China, on August 15. He told The Sun that he noticed the water flow was dangerously strong before he started down, but the instructor assured him it was safe to proceed. It was not.
