Maryland Gov. Wes Moore announced in August that his state would use $80 million to expand primary care, mental health services, and dental care in rural communities. His press release celebrated the funding as proof of his administration's "commitment to investing and expanding innovative initiatives." It did not mention that the money flowed directly from President Trump's signature legislative achievement, a law Moore warned last year would leave everyone besides the super-rich "getting hosed."
