Australia’s Pitch Black exercise wrapped up recently after three weeks that brought together 21 nations, 2,500 personnel and about 100 aircraft.
American, Australian and Japanese F-35A Lighting II stealth fighters are training together over northern Australia as part of Pitch Black.
Pitch Black is Australia’s largest international exercise and will feature more than 100 aircraft from the U.S. and 19 other nations.
American warplanes will join more than 100 aircraft from 19 other nations for Australia’s largest international air combat exercise.
