A newly enhanced recording of the emergency call placed the night 18-year-old Nolan Wells disappeared on Horn Island, Mississippi, has revealed alarming background phrases, including what sounds like "Is he dead?", raising fresh doubts about the official account of his final hours. The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources released the original audio of a call placed to the private towing company Sea Tow at approximately 4 p.m. on July 4, 2026.
