The 56-year-old college football commentator dropped the news Friday on The Pat McAfee Show, describing an ordeal that started with a morning meal and ended with two spinal procedures and weeks of forced isolation. Herbstreit, a former Ohio State quarterback who now anchors ESPN's College GameDay and Saturday Night Football broadcasts while also calling Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, told McAfee the injury blindsided him.
