Kerr crossed the finish line at the Novuna London Athletics Meet, part of the Wanda Diamond League, more than three seconds ahead of American Yared Nuguse, who finished second in 3:45.69. Britain's Jake Heyward took third in a personal best of 3:46.73. The gap between first and second was not a race. It was a statement.
