Four teenagers allegedly stole a luxury Mercedes SUV and led police on a predawn chase across southern New Jersey before slamming head-on into a sedan and killing a grandmother and her longtime partner. Alice Stilwell Holt, 67, and Robert Barr Jr., 54, both of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, were driving their Hyundai sedan near Route 50 and Third Street in Mays Landing on the morning of August 22 when a stolen 2024 Mercedes-Benz G Wagon, traveling on the wrong side of the road, struck them head-on. The impact sent the Hyundai careening into a nearby gas station. Both Stilwell Holt and Barr died at the scene.
