Representative Anna Paulina Luna, Republican of Florida, said she wanted votes as early as Wednesday on expelling Representatives Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales over sexual misconduct accusations.
Luna said she believes Swalwell should voluntarily resign over the allegations, which accuse the Democrat of sexually assaulting a former aide in 2019 and 2024, both of which allegedly happened when the woman was too intoxicated to give consent.
