California Governor Gavin Newsom is a performative popinjay like no other, and on Saturday he decided to preen and fluff his feathers over his signing of 13 purported "election integrity," bills into law. One of those new laws would make it a felony to seize or interfere with the chain of custody of ballots before they are certified. This is in direct opposition to the Trump administration deploying election observers to the polls in certain states for the November midterms, and forcing the purging of illegal aliens from state voter rolls. Purges that are, of course, being resisted by Newsom and other blue state governors.
