CSAF and CMSAF visited AFSOC at Hurlburt Field to experience how the command meets today’s complex operational requirements while rapidly investing in tomorrow’s readiness through modernization.
The multi-week course brings together XCOMM special operators across active duty, guard and reserve wings to develop the skills and knowledge needed to set-up and operate communication systems in any environment. The training includes use of austere-like conditions and specialized AFSOC communications equipment to build their familiarity and proficiency as tactical communicators.
AFSOC opened the 2026 Special Air Warfare Symposium with senior leaders underscoring the command’s enduring focus on people and rapid adaptability to win the future fight in a complex and ever-changing global security environment.
