The National Transportation Safety Board provided new details Tuesday on the deadly plane crash at Miami International Airport over the weekend. Five people were killed after an Amazon cargo jet overran a runway and struck vehicles near the airport. Federal investigators are examining the plane’s landing, speed, braking, weather and mechanical condition to determine what caused the crash. On Tuesday, NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy revealed the 55-year-old captain had 7,145 flight hours and received his Boeing 767 type rating in May. Officials also recovered the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder.
