Five people were killed and 44 were injured in a massive crash between a bus and multiple vehicles on Interstate 95.
The crash occurred when a bus, operated by E&P Travel, allegedly slammed into stopped traffic on the I-95 in Stafford County. The bus was transporting passengers from New York City to Charlotte, North Carolina.
The crash happened after the bus “failed to slow” for traffic that had slowed down ahead of an upcoming work zone," according to police.
Police say the bus was turning left when it was hit by a speeding car. The students are expected to be OK.
