Representatives from 16 Army branches provided members of the U.S. Military Academy's Corps of Cadets a glimpse into what they may encounter after graduation and commissioning during Branch Week at West Point, N.Y.
Every summer, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., introduces its newest basic cadets to military life through basic cadet training.
Four of the nation’s U.S. service academies welcomed their newest class of cadets to start their journey toward becoming military officers.
“The battlefield does not grade on a curve, and you can’t throw your pronouns at the enemy,” Hegseth told the cadets. “Combat is the ultimate test, and our best Americans must ace it.”
The SecAF engaged with cadets and leadership during a visit to the U.S. Air Force Academy, reinforcing his priorities of modernization and readiness.
Colonel Brandon J. Tellez has been assigned as the Academy’s 32nd Commandant of Cadets, succeeding Brigadier General Gavin P. Marks.
Army ROTC cadets attending Old Dominion University received eight meritorious service medals and two Purple Hearts by the Army’s secretary and sergeant major.
