Tenisha Warner, widow of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, has filed a legal petition against the late star's mother over an estate plan drafted decades before the couple ever met, a move she says was forced by a looming statute of limitations and a year of failed private negotiations. The dispute centers on the 1996 Warner Family Trust, which Malcolm-Jamal Warner created when he was 26 years old, unmarried, and had no children. Under that trust, 70 percent of the actor's assets go to his mother, Pamela Warner, who serves as trustee. Another 15 percent goes to his late father, Robert Warner Jr., and the remaining 15 percent to his half-sister, Collage. Neither his wife nor his nine-year-old daughter, MacKenzie, is named.
