Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent traded accusations regarding alleged attempts to hide information related to Jeffrey Epstein at a Finance Committee hearing Wednesday, June 3. During his opening statement Wyden, the committee's ranking member, said that Bessent has been preventing the release of records showing payments by Epstein's clients. Bessent countered that the Wyden was attempting to divert attention from an alleged "investment meeting" between the senator's son, Adam Wyden, and Epstein.
