Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), one of the seven GOP senators who voted to remove President Donald Trump from office following the January 6 Capitol riot, lost his primary Saturday night. The Trump-endorsed candidate, Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA), will face State Treasurer John Fleming in a runoff on June 27 for the party’s nomination. “It’s nice to see that his political career is OVER,” the president posted on Truth Social last night.
