Now that peak permanent change of station season is underway, the Personal Property Activity is providing tips and operating a 24/7 call center until Sept. 15 to ensure support is available for service members and their families preparing for a PCS.
The War Department's newest special activity — the Personal Property Activity — met with moving, shipping and logistics leaders to provide an update on the accelerated reform aimed at improving one of the most critical quality-of-life issues facing military families, the permanent change of station moving process.
The War Department Personal Property Activity marked a significant milestone: moving from a Permanent Change of Station Joint Task Force to becoming a permanent organization dedicated to supporting military personnel, DOW civilians and their families through PCS moves.
