This week on "Missing": Marni Hughes looks at the case of 22-year-old Rutgers University student Mortimer "Mekhai" Wortman, who vanished just before Thanksgiving in 2025, near his home in Ocean County, New Jersey. His family expected him home for the holiday but instead got a knock on the door from the police, who told them Mekhai was missing. They say Mekhai was reported missing by an acquaintance named Adam, who is facing criminal charges from an incident over the summer involving Mekhai. According to an affidavit, Adam allegedly threatened Mekhai with a knife and rammed into the back of his car after Mekhai refused his romantic advances. Adam told investigators Mekhai stormed off near a fire pit in the woods after an argument. The…
